Application for Member of the Board of Directors to GSNNJ
Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey is currently looking for members-at-large to serve on the Board of Directors. Full details about Board service can be found in our Board prospectus. Board members must live or work in our jurisdiction and are expected to prepare for and attend 4 Board meetings each year (September, December, February, June) plus prepare for and attend the Annual Meeting in May (this year's Annual Meeting is May 14, 2025),along with special meetings as needed. Directors at Large serve three (3) years, which may be renewed up to a maximum of two (2) consecutive terms. The term commences at the close of the Annual Meeting. Potential Board members are reviewed by our Board Development Committee, also composed of current Board members and community volunteers.

4. A core responsibility for Board members is financial support of the organization. Each Board member is asked to make an annual donation to Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey at a level that is meaningful to the individual. In addition, active participation in fundraising committee work, and donor cultivation may be a part of your responsibilities. Board members are also encouraged to actively support and attend special Girl Scout fundraising events. Please confirm your understanding of this aspect of board service.
